When try to act all hard talking about scheming negros and such it’s a turn off. Where is the Drizzy that wrote a whole mixtape about Bria or dedicated   songs to Aaliyah ? I know that Drizzy, I miss that this whole new fuck bitches get money persona is a little frightening. Your edge and your niche is being open about your emotions. It seems like everyone was either in DC or ATL this weekend. When I got in Saturday evening my friend Bilal (whom I was visiting) took me to his friends birthday dinner at this sushi place.. Actually it was a friend of a friend. Anyhow this was my first exposure to the black gay community.

At home in New York I have an extremely culturally and ethnically diverse group of friends. And I only have a handful of black friends to began with (sad but true) and my amount of black queer friends is even smaller. And we are a different from the blacks in mainstream culture only because of the diversity of our greater circle of friends.

Anywhooo… It was interesting to see how “the girls” in DC operate even though I got a very small look sometimes that’s all you need. And from what I’ve seen there’s this unspoken parallel between black homosexual culture and black hetrosexual culture. What I mean is an Imitation of values… There is a sharp destiniction of femme and masculine character traits as in there isn’t a lot of in between unlike what I’ve seen in NYC.

I really wish I could speak on more but I really don’t know enough too. All I can say is it was an eye opener for me. And I guess this is preparing me for my trip to Atlanta next month which I am very excited about for many reasons. But I think I’m gonna be doing a lot of social experimenting in the coming months.

Breaks up aren’t easy for anyone, of the storms of life break up are undoubtedly the hurricane of those storms, along with death of a love one and disaster. Break ups are the death of relationship I sometimes feel same kinds of pain during a break up as I do when someone close to me dies. Why is that?

The raging hurricane of “the end” seems to leave the insides of your mind and your heart in completely wreckage. But after the storm all we can do is rebuild….

At this point in my life I see a “Hurricane” coming and it can mean many things and end up any number of ways and I know in order to rebuild you have to have a an of action. Weigh your choices. What is safe is not always smart and what is smart is not always safe. I have been in a lot of break ups and the last time I had my heart broken I vowed it would never happen to me again. But now it seems rather unvoidable as this storm comes closer and closer.

Starting over is hard because we become comfortable… But in discomfort I find the greater truth is found. God speaks to us in the storm and after the hurricane is a rainbow

Once in our existence we were able to communicate directly with God, he’d speak aloud we’d speak back or so I’d imagine. Before any tongue was recorded, or chronicled we spoke what God spoke. Imagine that.

You can’t forget your divinity in this world of flesh, and you can’t forget your body in circumstances that aim to destroy your mind. You can’t forget your mind in matters of the heart. it’s all important. It seems a little overwhelming at times but it’s nothing that prayer can’t get you through. The Devil’s aim is to get us to not trust God. He doesn’t understand how people can praise through pain, but God does not wish any of his creatures to suffer. Often the suffering that we encounter in life is through our own invention. God wishes to free us but sometimes God solution isn’t the easy solution, so we ignore it.

Remember God understands what your going through in all things. Free your mind and hear what he has to say.

And I’m never more aware of it than when I than when I fall in love with someone new. I remember all the feelings I had for the person before them so intensely and have this new feeling for the current person just puts me in a hurricane of emotion.

But the storm soon dies down and I focus on my current love interest…

Now I have to learn how to factor in infatuation
